The design is an insert into the space, on one hand reverential to its container and on the other
completely obliterating its rigid geometries.
© Sameep Padora Associates It is quasi-dome, quasi-surface, rejecting the formal
structure of either as a pure hybrid that networks the structural abilities of both.

The warmth and textured roughness of the plywood armature is set up against the slickness from

The construction process was a design-build effort using digital parametric tools for design process,
documentation and eventually CNC routing and assemblage.
© Sameep Padora Associates The assemblage is hung off the RCC slab
with regularly spaced threaded Mild steel rods fixed onto a double thick vertical plywood panel that
allows for leveling the entire armature through the length of the space.
