Prototype - Sign on the highway / Huibiao Wu

"In technical terms,a prototype is often a functional,simplified experimental model of a planned component for a certain purposes.

A prototype is often used as preparation for a series production. However, it can also be planned as a single piece to illustrate a particular concept.

So,what will a prototype be felt like in the view from a moving car? " The over 200m high tower stands in a forest. Its lower part is divided into three legs.

They have different functions and different relationships with the environment. In these three "legs" are private apartments, hotel and shopping center.

Hotel and shopping center are directly connected with the highway , while the part of apartments is hiding in the forest.They will join with each other above and become the "hub"of the whole building,where every public acts is happenning (e.

g. cafe, gallery, cinema, etc.

) The next upper floors are the work spaces. In sum, a closed circulation will be created in this tower,which is standing alone in the forest.

In aspect of structure,the facade and the core carry all the weights.There are four different opening-scales of sunblinds.

They become gradually smaller from north to south..
