The area planning is divided into seven phases of which Eriksson Architects Ltd are designing Phases IV, V and VII. A large part of the former agricultural area acts as an urban central meadow that forms a leisure area and green lungs for the coming urban area.© Eriksson Architects Ltd
One existing manor house will be preserved and turned into a centre for gardening activities and a place for organic food growers to sell their goods.
Around the central meadow new housing areas form small city villages where each has its own unique character.© Eriksson Architects Ltd
The buildings are mostly from two to four stories high.© Eriksson Architects Ltd
In the north there’s a series of apartment buildings up two seven stories high that form a solar panel wall and a sound barrier against highway noise from the north. Smaller green areas are connected to the central meadow and further on to the Central Park of Espoo.© Eriksson Architects Ltd
Pedestrian streets connect the different phases together.© Eriksson Architects Ltd
A wide variety of building types and apartment sizes will be offered..© Eriksson Architects Ltd
