Shakespeare Benches / Troy M. Malmstrom

from architect: In the fall I lead a Graduate Digital Craft Studio in which we designed an element for the GTM courtyard here at LaTech.

I was approached by Bill Willoughby (Associate Dean and Architecture Professor) as well as Dorothy Robbins (English Professor and overseer of the Shakespeare Garden within the courtyard) to help design an installation for the garden.

As you’ll see from some of the before pictures this space doesn’t get as much traffic is it deserves and once a year it holds the annual Shakespeare Festival in which students do readings on his birthday.
